About our mission

The mission of the "Walk It Out" wellness program and intervention is to achieve a lifestyle in which regular vigorous physical activity, nutrition, and healthy choices become second nature. The intervention uses concepts and processes that are based upon the physical, social, and emotional needs of the individual. Upon completion or participation of the program intervention the individual will have had the opportunity to grow in area of knowledge and understanding of diversity, cultural awareness, and personal fitness.

This website is designed to aid participants in the wellness challenge by keeping a log of the distance accumulated during various physical activities. By keeping track of the total distance traveled by each department's team (biology, movement studies...etc), different cities around the world will be reached at the close of the school year. So it is important to stay physically active not only for the health benefits, but for the reward each team gets in the form of a cultural party for the 1st team to reach a destination.
